What insurance plans do you accept?

How often are follow-up appointments scheduled?

This depends on each patient's unique needs, while some patients only visit a few times per year or even just once, others follow up on a monthly basis.

Your Appointments

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first appointment will be with Dr. Brock or Dr. Stotts. At this appointment a road map will be made of possible treatment options and our overall goals going forward.

Will I always see Dr. Brock at my appointments?

Dr. Brock or Dr. Stotts will see you at your initial visit. Follow up appointments are primarily with one of the highly trained nurse practitioners or physician assistants.

Are you currently accepting new patients?

YES

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Any pertinent imaging reports, past procedures or intervention documentation of the area in pain and new patient paperwork completed.

Prescriptions & Medications

Can I get a refill on a controlled substance early?

Due to governing laws and insurance we are not able to allow refills sooner than 28 days after the last prescription was filled.

Do I call the office or the pharmacy first about my prescription?

Please allow 24 hours after your appointment before calling or texting the office regarding medications refills.

Procedures & Treatments

Where are procedures performed?

Most procedures can be done in the office but depending on an individual's risk, medical history and the invasiveness of the procedure it may need to be done next door at the Methodist Mckinney Hospital.

Will I need someone to drive me after a procedure?

For any procedure done with anesthesia a driver is needed. For procedures under local anesthetic most do not require a driver but may require a short postprocedure monitoring prior to leaving the office.

How long do injections take?

On average an injection under anesthesia takes 30-40 minutes from arrival to leaving. This can vary greatly depending on the injection location and type.

General Questions

Do I need a specific diagnosis before making an appointment?

No, we see all forms of pain and hope to provide the best care to all our patients. We do recommend having one area of focus for each visit as this allows us to cover all treatment options to their fullest.

Can I be seen if I am already seeing another specialist for my pain?

Yes, we are happy to provide 2nd opinions and alternative therapies. While there are many physicians that treat pain, our treatments may differ due to training or comfort with alternative therapies.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

We do offer telehealth visits but this is not available to all patients due to local regulations and policies. This would be something to discuss with your provider at your visit.

Accepted Insurance Carriers
