Pain Medicine Done the Way It Should Be Done
Brock Pain Medicine was built on a simple premise: every patient who walks through the door deserves to be heard, evaluated thoroughly, and treated as an individual.
Not a diagnosis. Not a billing code. A person with a life that pain is getting in the way of.
It’s why patients keep coming back. And it is why, when someone in the McKinney area asks their doctor who to trust with their chronic pain, the answer has consistently been the same.

How We Think About Pain Management
Pain medicine has a tendency to become transactional. Patients see a provider, receive a prescription or an injection, and return for follow-up on a fixed schedule.
What often gets lost in that cycle is the actual goal: helping the patient function better, hurt less, and live a fuller life.
At Brock Pain Medicine, we approach care differently:
We Start With the Source
Treating pain without understanding where it comes from is not treatment — it is management of a symptom. Our evaluation process is thorough because the diagnosis matters. The right treatment for the wrong source does nothing. The right treatment for the right source can change a patient’s life.
We Treat the Individual
Two patients with the same diagnosis on paper may need completely different treatment plans. Age, activity level, prior treatments, goals, and overall health all shape what the right approach looks like. We build plans around the person, not the condition.

We Use the Least Invasive Appropriate Option
Escalation in pain medicine should be deliberate. We start with the approach most likely to provide meaningful relief with the least disruption to the patient’s life. When that approach is no longer sufficient, we move to the next appropriate step with a clear rationale. No patient at Brock Pain Medicine is pushed toward a procedure before less invasive options have been fully considered.
We Are Honest About What We Can Accomplish
Chronic pain is rarely eradicated completely. What specialist pain management can do — consistently, for appropriately selected patients — is reduce pain meaningfully, restore function, and improve quality of life. We tell our patients exactly what to expect, including what we cannot promise.
Recognition From Patients and Peers
The accolades Brock Pain Medicine has received over the years reflect what patients consistently report: care that is personal, thorough, and genuinely focused on their well-being.

Schedule My ConsultationPart of the McKinney Community
Brock Pain Medicine is not a regional chain or a corporate-owned clinic. It is a private practice with deep roots in the McKinney community. Dr. Brock and his family have lived in McKinney for decades. He is a co-founder of McKinney Christian Academy, a board member of 3e United, a charter member of Christ Fellowship Church, and a recipient of the Kim Hoffman Volunteer of the Year Award. He has been on more than 25 international medical missions across seven countries.
That community involvement is not a background. It is part of what drives the practice — a genuine commitment to the health and well-being of the people who live here.
